Dogs Hair Cut

Being a professional grooming for nearly 10 years, I often see a lot of confusion on the different grooming styles available for each breed. Until finally we thought wouldn't it be great if there was some place we could send clients that would show all the different hair cuts?

Dogs Hair Trim

Start with the straight shears and begin cutting from the area at the top of the dog's neck. Slowly and carefully work your way down to the tail area, but don't cut the tail hair yet. Then go back and trim the hair down the sides of the dog's belly and legs.

Dogs Hair Wash

How often you need to wash your dog depends on a variety of things, including the dog’s breed, size, type of coat, and activities. Dogs that are frequently outdoors may need more frequent baths, while indoor dogs may need a bath only every few months. Baths can be scary for dogs, but with a little knowledge and preparation, you can make washing your dog a good experience for both of you.

Dogs Nail Cut

When you hear your dog’s nail click-clacking as he walks across the floor or hard surface, it’s usually a sure sign that he’s ready to have them clipped. The general rule of thumb is to clip where the nail makes a defined curve down towards the floor. Don’t cut too far beyond that or you could snip the quick. Keep in mind that the longer you allow the nails to grow, the longer the quick may grow, as well.
